I got revived this weekend. Here is the scoop.
FRIDAY Met my mom at Toys R Us for about 2 1/2 hours. I needed to feel like a kid and that store is just so dang fun. Anyways, we were able to get the kids the "bulk" of their Christmas! We had such fun laughing and picking out the toys with great care. The store was stocked, and empty of customers . Just the way I like to shop. I can hardly wait to see the kids great glee on Christmas. All packages will be stored at grandmas to prevent any peekers.
SATURDAY It was so wonderful to not have any Sabbath duties. We took advantage and RESTED like God said to do on this day. We did have to go to an Adventurer potluck and meeting. Saturday night we met up with our young adult gang which I think was over 20 people at TGIFridays. I didn't look or care about prices. I had a big hunking 10 oz. sirloin steak with cheesy baked potato and the mega size strawberry daiquiri. It has been soooooo long since I had a drink like that. I prefer the fruity kind that don't taste so much like alcohol. I used to drink wine coolers before the kids were born. What a fantastic evening it was being able to eat and enjoy some "quality adult conversation" and time with the hubby too. :-) I feel asleep on the way home. Alcohol and caffeine make me tired NOT wired. Thanks so much Vangie for instilling the idea and scouting a place. It was just what me and many of us needed. Wooo hooo.
SUNDAY Had Adventurers this morning. Only half the club was there though. We gained 3 new members. Rest of day was doing chores and yada yada. But due to my revival weekend I attacked my chores with a new groove and attitude which I hope will carry through this new week. :-)O
