Woke up feeling icky all over. Really wanted to just lay in bed all day. My cold is full blown and as most of you know the first day or so is really gross and lousy. Kids woke up and said "Mommy it is Monday, library day." So, I downed some Dayquill and sucked up my problems best I could and began getting ready to take the kids out. Walked into the kitchen and ewww gross cat vomit. Cleaned that up then oh gross doggie poop near the front door. Despite the minor pet delays we did make it on time for story time at the library. The kids love dumping their old books down the shoots and looking for new ones. Then it was hitting Costco for some much needed necessities. Come home and did daddy's outside chores. Most excitement of the day was I picked 15 cherry tomatoes, 1 head of lettuce, and 1 ear of corn. After finding homes for the food and getting the family lunch, I finally got to eat my first meal of the day at 4. Then it was reading time with the kids, and to hold down the fort best as I could in spite of feeling bad. It really sucks when the care giver is down. Today is 72 hours and instead of feeling better my hubby feels worse. He has a new pain, like his old hernia pain. I am a bit worried. If things don't improve tomorrow I will make him go in and have it looked at. Can't believe they didn't give him a post op after his surgery. I am really hoping to get in bed my 8 tonight. That concludes my Monday blues.

hi wendy, so sorry you are feeling sick. it must suck because even though you are sick, you can't really put your motherly duties aside. sorry about the cat/dog issues. that is why we don't have animals, i don't want to have to clean up after them. hope remo is ok, keep us updated
Seems like you've been getting sick a lot lately. Time to take some vitamins. =) Hope you feel better. I feel your pain with the pet problems. Bleh.
Hope you and Remo get better. If it is getting worse, definitely have Remo looked at or you might be too late in treating a bigger problem.

Yes, I agree about the dogs. As much as I love them, I can't stand the puke and the poo.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Wendy. It's much harder on mommies to be sick than any other family member. Somehow we never really get time completely off! Hope Remo is better, if not, definitely go to the doctor...any time you feel ok for a while, and then feel worse after surgery is a cause for concern. Better to be safe than sorry.
