Officially Enrolled

Most of you know I lost my job over a year ago. The worst part was I worked for 7 years without any benefits, retirement, social security, and have had no unemployment salary to compensate. I did go through about 6 months of anger, resentment, and picked out my frustrations severely on my family. It wasn't until the beginning of this year that I began to feel peace and reevaluate my goals for my future employment and the future of our family. Today I became an official student at National University. My classes begin next Tuesday. I just ordered my books online. I will be taking special education and in about 2 years or less (depending on what transfers) I will also have my Masters. I am excited about this new venture. I am also nervous about being the student again. It has been almost 10 years. One huge plus is that until next spring my classes are all online. I know it will be hard work and I will need to take out loans, but the job prospects and $$$$$$ will all make up for everything in the end. Hi ho hi ho its back to school I go. Boo hoo and bye bye extra fun stuff and vacation.

Sorry to hear that your old employer treated you that bad. I didn't realize you weren't getting all those benefits. Well, it kinda of bit them in the *ss in the end because now they are closing down.

Good luck at school! It's great that you can start online. Makes the adjustment that much easier. Yes, all the hardship now will pay for itself at the end.
