A Trip to the Library

Well, I printed out a daily schedule for Emeline and Noah and they were so excited. Not only will it help them learn the days of the week, but it gives them some consistent activities to look forward to. Like today. It was the kids first visit to a public library. We just went to Chula Vista on 4th Street. The children's section was like a kids paradise. We attended story time. Emeline loved it and would be totally ready for preschool (if we had the $$$$). They read 3 stories, did a poem, and sang silly kid songs. Noah just sat on my lap the whole time. Afterwards, we stood in line and each kid got their very own library card. You can check out 25 books at a time. We only got 5 each, and that was plenty because we will be returning them each Monday. It was very challenging taking 2 toddlers to the library and trying to get books of both their interests. Noah told me he had to pee. I took him to the little kid bathroom there. He said, "Mommy I don't want to pee in this potty." I told him he would have to wait till we got home and it was a long while. He did manage to hold it till we got home of which our total trip time was a little over 2 hours. Emeline was so excited to show her daddy her very own credit card as she calls her library card. She has wanted nothing more to do all afternoon than read her books. My little avid reader. She can actually read 2 of her books all on her own. Maybe next time we will need to get 25 books. We'll see. At least the day went by fast. Now it is dinner time already. Hope your Monday was good too.

We usually go every Monday at 10:30. Anyone is welcome to come. They offer storytime everyday at 10:30, but we will just be going on Mondays.
