Fellowshipping and Food

Today I took a drive North to visit and fellowship with a very dear lady friend (Rodica). She lives up in the Del Mar area. It was a good 35-40 minute drive. In the middle of the morning there was no traffic (SWEET) so I thoroughly enjoyed the drive and beep bopping and singing to tunes on the radio. Haven't done that in a really long time. When I am alone and driving, I admit I like to turn up and pump the volume!!! We enjoyed fellowshipping, and all. It was just fun to be socializing with another adult! She took me to Jimbos. Anyone heard of that place? I sure hadn't. Anyways, it was kind of like a little bit of Henry's and Trader Joe's. Lots of organic stuff. Rodica introduced me to the varieties of rice and especially the grains. It was all very educational and exciting. She bought some bagged grains for me, and I was amazed at how cheap they were. For the price we paid for the grains would equal the price of one box of prepackaged cereal that is full of junk. We went back to her place and she helped me create a week of "healthy and filling" breakfasts. I can't wait to try out her ideas. Now that my hubby and I are on this new health and lifestyle change of eating, I am so so lost. We do eat way too much prepared and frozen food. Coming home I did not encounter such a pleasant drive I had in the morning. Half the way home we were traveling at 20 miles an hour. SUCKS. I was so nervous and anxious and kept wondering if someone would crash into me. I am a nice and polite driver who keeps distance and abides by the rules. There are some crazy ass drivers out there. Yikes. I did see a fellow Saturn car who had a pick up truck literally up on the hood and windshield of the Saturn. Both cars totalled. Someone obviously didn't stop. Made it home safely. Thank you Jesus. Kids got to spend time with the B. grandparents and Jada at Seaworld today. I imagine they will be quite pooped and ready to hit the hay early. Happy Hump and Wednesday. We're almost at the weekend again. Yeah.

P.S. Anyone have any ideas on what do with bananas besides muffins and banana bread? I already froze half of them, but we still have too many and I need some more ideas on what to do to use them up????

Banana pancakes are THE BEST!!! They come out sooo sweet and moist. Sweet enough that you don't even have to add syrup, or at least I don't.
