Reunion

So, they say as a teacher it is best not to develop a personal relationship with parents or students, but 3 years ago I became best friends with one of the mom's of a special student of mine. They recently moved to Virgina. Anyhow, she is here in SD visiting with the kiddies until July 10. I had the privilege of going out to lunch at Olive Garden with them. It was so much fun. The kids were sharing all about their school, and the culture shock of moving east. They are really well rounded just great kids and model students. I feel proud to have had a small impact on their lives. We ate and spent a long time just chatting and laughing. A very wonderful time. Halfway through our meal, Auntie April came by to say hi. She and Uncle Jig and Judah were enjoying some good eats at Olive Garden too! Came home to pantless kids, literally. We are a pantless family what can I say. We are cozy and comfy and not ashamed of anything. I will now resume my mommy duties. It is a gorgeous day, not too hot with a light breeze. We will spend some time outdoors, watch a Disney movie, and play games this evening. Chow for now.

P.S. The hubby has a confirmed date for his "man surgery" August 3.

Just remember, vasectomies don't work for about a year! Be careful, unless you want a sweet "little" surprise some month!

Really?! A year? That's an awfully terrible prank isn't it!
