Emotional Rollercoaster

According to the doctors had my grandma been on the floor one more day she probably wouldn't have made it. She was very dehydrated and developed a fungus called thrust in her mouth which she can't eat or swallow. Her hip did break but more of a tear. After all the x rays and reviews it was decided surgery was not the best option. Her heart is too weak and the chances of her not making it through the surgery were too high. So, she will be released Thursday to a rehab facility. She will be put on a strict rehab program, but it will take 6-9 months to gain the ability to walk again. All the siblings will take turns going and being with grandma during the year. When she finally can come home she will need 24/7 care and we are not sure if at that point she will live in her house with a nurse or we will ship her out west. But for now that is the plan.

Noah started his preschool tiny tot class this week. He loved it! He really knows more than I thought! Emeline loves grade 1 at SDA. I am finishing up my final week of student teaching. Just a couple more projects to complete. I have 2 possible job prospects! I am filling out paperwork so we shall see. My master teacher subbed 3 years before getting a permanent position. He has encouraged me if I see something to just go for it. Especially during these economic times. Even though I would like to wait a year, if God opens a door I will not cease to close it so quickly. Life is busy but I am happy and blessed. And the week is almost half over! Yay!

Congratulations to the newest parents Kevin and Tiffany!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry about your Grandma. That's too bad. It's called Thrush. It's a yeast infection...usually indicates a weakened immune system. Can be miserable, but drugs take care of it quickly, usually.

i'm sorry to hear about the long road to recovery but that's nice that she has kids that will take turns taking care of her.

i'm so glad that noah loved his class with jada and that you have 2 possible job prospects!
