Fun Foods

Today was supposed to be library day, but I had one child who refused to get dressed and one child who just wanted to go shopping to get more "potty candy rewards." So, Emeline stayed home to watch and keep an eye on daddy, and Noah and I went out. We dropped off our library books down the shoot and how exciting to see a parade of fire trucks clanging down the street. He didn't want to go to story time, only to go shopping. Then it was off to Henry's. Noah loves the color orange and when we passed the veggies he happily points out and gets excited at all the orange ones. Well, I have seen a green cauliflower (brocoflower), but not an orange one. Seriously, it looked interesting so I just had to buy it. We had a very colorful dinner of veggies for dinner. We had green artichokes (what a treat) and cherry tomatoes (grown and picked from our very own backyard), for our appetizers. Then we had the yellow corn from our garden, the orange cauliflower, a lovely grilled chicken salad with our home grown lettuce. Desert was sweet red and pink watermelon. Now I am off to make a jello salad and cookies for our family lunch tomorrow. Hope your Monday was good too!

P.s. Didn't have room in my tum tum for the chicken salad because I ate the whole head of cauliflower!!!! It was so yummy. There is always tomorrow!!!
