Weekend Wrap Up

SATURDAY-- Made it for SS on time again!! Well, only because mommy had to be there early and kick everyones butt that morning. Actually a very kind mommy got everything ready the night before. Went to Chula Vista for the main service. Mom B. had invited us to potluck, but I didn't cook or feel right. There were 7 baptisms that day and the food was for their families. So I suggested greek food! A small group of us went to eat at Zorbas. Yum in my tum tum. The babies ate well too. Came home to regroup, change, and get our duck bread. Noah had been talking of feeding ducks since Friday. Met the K. grandparents at Eastlake for duck feeding. However the ducks really weren't in an eating frenzy mood as usual. It is mating and nesting season. We saw lots of duck couples resting in the bushes. Then the kids wanted to play at the park. We went to the park where we will have Noah's b-day soon. He loved it! Headed home at sundown. Daddy went to exchange the leaky water heater. Mommy fed everyone and caught up on her TV shows from the week. Since the kids had taken siestas in the car, they were staying up LATE, and were hanging out with night owl daddy. I left everyone and hit the bed at 10. I was beat.
SUNDAY--Woke up and left breakfast on the table for the still sleeping night owls. I headed to Chula Vista Church for the Vegan/Raw Diet and Exercise program. I loved the exercises. Deep, relaxed breathing, SLOWLY working all your body from head to toe. Seemed a lot like yoga. Tiff, I think I am ready to begin that after Vegas! I felt so rejuvenated and relaxed after the exercises. I learned some more creative recipes and how to prepare fresh veggies and fruit. There were over 25 non Adventist in attendance and only about 12 church members. I think it is wonderful to eat more healthy, but total vegan and all raw is too extreme for me. I think that if you want to be more healthy and loose weight, just watch the fat, hydrogenated stuff, and limit your portions and intakes. If I had cancer or a serious medical illness, I may take it to the extreme. Like stated in a previous blog, since December, I have lost 13 pounds! I am not following any strict diet plan. Just willpower, and slowly taking away the bad stuff. Rest of day was spent cleaning up after the babysitter and the HUGE mess they and the kiddies had managed to make. Emeline had such fun with the egg hunt at Easter, that she got upset when i was trying to put all the decorations and eggs away. We played egg hunt through the house about half a dozen times. Due to lack of sleep, kids are very emotional and crabby. I must go and make fresh bread and homemade soup for dinner. We will definitely be going to bed much earlier tonight, at least the kiddies. In just a few days we will be on vacation to Vegas! Yea. Can't wait.

TODAY IS TAX DAY! HOPE YOU ALL GOT YOURS DONE! WE DID AND ARE EXPECTING SOME BLESSINGS! CAN I JUST SAY GOD IS GOOD!

we missed your family on sabbath! i'm sad about not being there for lunch at zorbas. i love that place. i wish we could take yoga some place together. as for a vegan diet, i think you are right. there are just somethings that have to be cooked. you get more of the tomatoes nutrients when they are cooked.

oops, i meant to say, "as for a raw food diet. . " not "vegan diet". i don't think it is necessary to be vegan, but being a raw foodist, that just seems to be going overboard.
