Catching Up

Saturday--Mommy was the only one to make it to SS (she was in charge). Daddy was supposed to get everyone bathed and dressed so mommy could pick everyone up and head to church. Mommy got home and found everyone dirty and lounging. Bad daddy. None the less, we took our time getting ready, dressed casual and headed to Auntie Aprils. She made us a yummy simple yet delicious spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread meal. Thank you, your sauce was especially yummy! Both the veggie and non-veggie were equal in taste! Then we headed to the lake to meet the K. grandparents and U. Brad. The ducks were more interested in mating then eating. We went to a park so the kiddies and doggie could run and blow off more energy and steam. In the evening we headed to the B. grandparents house to help prepare for the retirement party. Finally arrived to our home around 9 or 10. Kids and I were pooped and went straight to bed. Daddy headed off to a computer party, but after getting sick and playing only 2 games he retreated home and to bed.

Sunday--Was up early and finished the 48 spinach and cheese enchiladas for the party. I felt like a real domesticated chef. I was happy to help because it was made with love for mom and dad, and for a great cause! Hehehe! Got into our Hawaiian attire and got the to the party 30 minutes early. Some guests were already there. The retirement party was massive! Thank goodness guests arrived in shifts. It gave us time to restock and bring out more stuff . The food supply was overwhelming. I don't think I have ever helped with such a HUGE party. The only thing we ran out of was paper plates. All in all everyone seemed upbeat and happy, but most important was that mom and dad B. were happy. It was just so nice to see them actually conversing with guests more then just wishing everyone Happy Sabbath. By the end of the evening we had SO MUCH food left over! Helped clean up the trash then headed home cause my hubby had to work for 4 hours.

Monday--I was so exhausted and my energy level was literally zero. Yes, I know I need to exercise more frequently to build up my stamina. We all stayed in bed till after 10. So wonderful. My feet are really sore. I tried to just lay low and take it easy, but as you moms know, that luxury just isn't possible when you have two active toddlers with constant demands. I didn't entertain or interact with the kiddies that much today. They did well amusing themselves. Only a few cat fights. I am so happy they are independent and can do so much for themselves. I love to lay and listen to their playful imagination conversation. I did a lot of lounging but still had to do the dishes, laundry, and vacuum. Well, I have lounged enough. It is time think of supper. Hmmmm. Any suggestions? Oh, since we are not going on the family cruise anymore and are not taking a "real vacation" this year, we decided to splurge on Seaworld and Disneyland passes! At least the kiddies can do things and will enjoy these parks.

OK that's fine. I need to take my car in to get an oil change before we head up to LA anyway so I will do that on Monday. To save money, Jay normally does all our oil changes, but I got a coupon from Acura to get a free oil change. Gotta cash that sucker in. How about Tuesday? I can't go Thursday because I gotta pick up Grandma B from the airport. Did you guys get your sea world passes or Disneyland? Did you guys check Costco for either passes. They may have a better deal.
