New Insights on Surgery

Thanks Auntie Grace and Jada for watching Noah and Emeline so I could go to a new doctor consultation up north. Sorry but this blog pertains mostly to the female mommies and soon to be mommies. During my last routine woman visit in Feb. it was discovered I have some prolapse issues and my female organs are all out of whack. Usually this happens to women in menopause, but for some reason it is developing early for me. We belong to Kaiser and they said surgery was definitely necessary. They basically put me on a waiting list and want to remove and take away some of my vital female parts. I felt that was a bit hasty and risky. So, we saw a gynecologist who specializes in vaginoplasty (cosmetic surgery on woman reproductive parts). He said that repair work is all I need and he would make me shaped and pretty again! It was NOT necessary to take out anything! He uses laser treatment so the recovery is much faster and less risky than amdonminal cutting. The only thing is that we will need to shop for a different insurance. Not a problem. So ladies and gentleman too, if you are ever told to get surgery, do more research. I won't be able to have the surgery until probably Christmas, but what a great gift to me! I don't mind the minor irritations if it is all worth it in the end!

If it's necessary surgery, you can appeal to Kaiser to pay for it anyway....may be too big of a hassle, though, and can just switch insurance....however, don't mention the surgical needs, or the new one won't pay for your "pre-existing condition"...

I'm glad you don't have to have that major surgery! Good luck with the whole insurance thing.
